Please Keep Sharing and Encouraging Others to Sign

Please keep sharing this petition to encourage as many affected community members as possible to sign, as we only have until Wednesday 15th June 2022 to show and prove our serious objections to MICC/Councillors proposed 6% general rates rise and 3% water rates increase as they pre-voted in their 2022/2023 draft budget meeting proceedings.
United as an extremely dissatisfied and disgruntled rate paying community of home and/or business owners, we will be strongly voicing our collective objections and opinions vehemently to reject outright MICC Councillors usage of our rate payer monies, to pay for any newly proposed, exorbitantly costed, non-essential 2022/2023 draft budgeted projects.
All affected and indirectly affected Mount Isa rate payers, their families and friends (regardless if you can afford to pay your yearly increasing rates without causing yourself any personal financial hardships or for other unknown reasonings) I urge you to seriously consider your personal involvement, contribution and support for this extremely important unified Mount Isa rate payer stance, by taking immediate action and signing this urgent community petition right now.
The reality of taking no actual persuasive and supportive action in the long term could be detrimental and ultimately negatively affect your own individual lifestyle and impending community service needs, if MICC/Councils proposed draft budget proceeds to implementation of another rate rise, which could be a major contributing factor if not enough rate paying affected community members choose not to speak up and hold MICC Councillors accountable for their behaviour, conduct and annual financial budgeting decisions and rate payer money expenditure.
Reminder; Rates never go down or decrease once agreed upon and implemented by MICC Councillors, they will only continue to rise annually in conjunction with each proposed and approved MICC budget if no immediate action is taken.
Thanks everyone for your continued support !
