Councillors it’s time for you to live up to your words

Councillors It’s time to live up to what you publicly say and eat your own delectable election victory words !!!

Listen to your rate payer this time and take the rightful action for everyone by deliberating to conclude a unanimous decision to not increase the rates in this proposed 2022/2023 budget or the next budget 2023/2024 and continue projecting and enforcing the same rates stance for some years ahead, and at least until the economical climate decelerates or stagnates to a more financially viable and stable positioning for Mount Isa rate payers.

#I haven’t witnessed a full immersion into our strong sense of community yet, appears only focussed and driving personal interests, for one particular community sector.

#I haven’t been hearing or seeing any overwhelming proactive fulfilling whole of community lifestyle  improvements or outcomes to date#

#It’s time to stand up and show the same real passion and commitment for the long standing and suffering Mount Isa rate payer family club#

#Not sure how that’s panning out for you and yours, considering many locals believe you have relocated and your home is somewhere else not Mount Isa#

Councillors; stand up and be more proactive in our community and meaningfully deliver what you publicly pledged to rate payers and the Mount Isa community prior to and after being elected as a MICC Councillor. If you want another chance and possibility of redeeming any remnants of your good character and evidentially proving and progressing your council portfolio performance in our community, you need to read every rate payer comment (incl submitted hard copy feedback forms) and acknowledge all petition signers and supporters efforts for realistic and positive changes, to encourage you to establish some insight to gaining a better understanding and empathy for full comprehension of all the rates and community issues. It is raw realism and you are being held accountable to deal with all these community issues, which you can’t afford to get wrong this time around for all Mount Isa rate payers and the general community you publicly spruiked were honoured to represent and committed to serve.

Time will tell, though making the right decision to not increase the rates no doubt will probably garner and gain you more rate payer support even from unlikely sectors within our community and skyrocket your chances of getting re-elected (if you plan on running again) by your current and newly engaged supporting constituents at the next MICC Council elections.

Pls keep sharing this petition for others to sign as I have received official advice yesterday, this petition will be accepted by MICC up until Wednesday 15th June 2022.
