Obama: keep your promise and bring the troops home from Iraq!

The Issue

With drastic cuts to domestic spending being proposed, we cannot afford to pay for US troops and contractors in Iraq beyond the December 31 deadline of the Status of Forces Agreement negotiated by President Bush. We have a moral obligation to get our troops out of harm's way. America's national interest is best served by interacting with the Iraqi people through diplomacy rather than force.
