Now that the November elections are behind us, the dam is more threatened than ever!!!  The DuPage County Forest Preserve District has MANY more seated members who are eager to destroy the dam.  We are continuing to provide information to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as they look over the permit application that the demolition group has offered.  We continue to offer to work toward some sort of compromise, but that is rejected out of hand.  There has been NO assessment of the nearby Graue Mill building; we are not convinced it will withstand the heavy equipment in the area if the dam is removed.  PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO! AND PLEASE FORWARD THE OPPORTUNITY TO YOUR FRIENDS WHO CARE ABOUT THE DAM.  It is on the National Register of Historic Places.  We wish the Forest Preserve District cared about that!!!
