Tuesday morning, 9/22 is the "workshop" meeting when the DuPage County Forest Preserve District has allowed those of us who OPPOSE THE REMOVAL of the dam to speak. We have only 15 minutes to present our case in a "virtual" meeting. HOWEVER, we have been told they "pay attention" to incoming emails. One Commissioner was heard to say "Do you really think that many people actually care if the dam is there or not?" WE NEED TO LET THEM KNOW WE CARE!!!
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION, PASS IT ALONG, and if you can, send an email TODAY to any or all of the Commissioners: Chairman Dan Hebreard: DHebreard@DuPageForest.org; MMurphy@DuPageForest.org, JRedick@DuPageForest.org, LPainter@DuPageForest.org,TWhelan@DuPageForest.org, MLWehrli@DuPageForest.org,AMurphy@DuPageForest.org
Your note doesn't need to be long! Just let them know that you are opposed to removing the dam!!! Without the dam, there is no reason to have the Mill - the Mill Pond, formed by the dam is what supplied power to the grist mill for decades before electricity was even a hope in what was a very rural area. PLEASE HELP US SAVE THE DAM!!!
