The intersection of Route 300 and Plains Road located in the Town of Shawangunk has been the site of many serious accidents in recent years with the last one on July 22, 2017. Many vehicles pass through this area and are put in danger everyday. The NYS Department of Transportation should change the blinking traffic light to a fully activated traffic light in order to minimize the risk of future incidents at this intersection. The intersection is especially dangerous for those traveling south on Plains Road who have poor visibility.
