NYC Mayor: Stop brutality by NYPD officers on Wall St & establish accountability!

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable. – John F. Kennedy

The basic civil liberties and human rights of everyday citizens are being trampled by abusive police officers who all too often resort to reprehensible and brutal tactics to exert their authority over citizens and silence any opposition, no matter how peaceful. It is important that the majority unite in demanding justice for victims of police brutality, in demanding that officers abide by the laws they are meant to uphold and in demanding that swift disciplinary action be taken against those officers who choose to dishonor the force and the people they are meant to serve and protect.

THIS IS IT!!  Let's take this message to the top and spread the word that this savagery must be put to rest and that accountability must be enforced!  If we promote democracy across the world, then we MUST defend it in this Country!

This is not the Land of the Free that our forefathers fought for:

Letter to
Mayor of New York City Michael R. Bloomberg
NYC Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly
Governor of New York Andrew M. Cuomo
and 2 others
Senator Charles Schumer
President of the United States
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City.
----------------
As you all may be aware, over the past few days peaceful demonstrations have been going on in NYC to protest the abuse of the major financial institutions of this Country. Although the protesters have maintained peaceful marches, many police officers have chosen to silence them with brutal and harsh tactics, as you can see from the video attached and from countless videos released through various media outlets.

Let's demand that abusive NYPD officers be relieved of their duties and that swift disciplinary action be instituted against them!

The basic civil liberties and human rights of everyday citizens are being trampled by these abusive police officers who all too often resort to reprehensible and brutal tactics to exert their authority over citizens and silence any opposition, no matter how peaceful. It is important that the majority unite in demanding justice for victims of police brutality, in demanding that officers abide by the laws they are meant to uphold and in demanding that swift disciplinary action be taken against those officers who choose to dishonor the force and the people they are meant to serve and protect.

Without us, the cries of many innocents will go unheard and it may not be long until the abuse happens to you or your loved ones.

Sincerely,

Supporters of freedom and democracy
