The absolute myth that the politicians and news media loves to fall back on as an excuse against remote learning is that kids are safer in schools from the coronavirus than at home has been completely shattered.
As a direct result of schools reopening across our country, students now make up 25% of those being infected. Feel free to read more about it here:
USA Today updated that over 1,000 schools have now closed in person learning across the country. Feel free to read the article below:
Are city officials worried or considering the remote learning option? NO, THEY’RE WORRIED ABOUT THEIR OWN SAFETY!
Instead of offering the remote learning option, NYC officials are instead more worried about giving themselves a work from home option by trying to shut down in person meetings for themselves as reported by the New York Post on Saturday:
This is unacceptable! The remote learning option must be offered to all NYC Students!
We have the perfect storm working against our NYC students:
- The Labor Day weekend
- Children making up 25% of new cases across the country
- Reopening of schools starting with Catholic schools this Wednesday
- The government is asking the unvaccinated not to travel for Labor Day weekend which will only upset those who are unvaccinated and make some travel in revolt. When does this type of warning ever work?
The odds are stacked against NYC families with school age students! The giant unstoppable train is about to barrel over us and yet the city officials and the Department of Education are willing to let this happen!
This is not the time to be delusional and believe that everything will be fine when the school year officially starts!
Recently Europe has decided to ban US travelers again, feel free to read about it here:

This is not the time to fear technology. Supporting the remote learning option is a simple ask of our officials and it’s something we cannot take no as an answer for.
Today, we are closer to being like the Jetsons family than the Flintstones family. Master Elroy and Miss Judy Jetson were able to meet with their teachers on their monitors and today, so could our children!
It’s time to embrace technology as a means to help and aid in our children’s learning. It is perfectly capable of helping teachers and conducting exams.
If anyone has any connection to city officials or officials with the Department of Education, it is time for you to reach out and make that phone call or e-mail to them to make your voices heard.
Please continue to push for the remote learning option!
