Nuclear For Maine

The Issue

Beginning in 1972, Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant’s carbon-free energy provided a third of Maine’s electricity. In 1996, it was decommissioned due to high costs for repairs. Our goal is to bring nuclear power back to Maine—the safest, cleanest, and most reliable form of energy.

Maine can only build a nuclear power plant if approved by a statewide referendum vote. Sign this petition to pledge your future vote in favor of Maine building a plant and show Maine lawmakers that the Pine Tree State won't settle for any energy source less than the best.
