Congratulations everyone! YOUR voices have been heard by the Nova Scotia Utility Review Board (NSUARB).
This morning, I received word that the Board has granted a show cause hearing in the matter of See Sight Tours. The hearing is scheduled for April 24, 2024 @ 9:00 AM at the NSUARB offices on Lower Water St.
Objectors (that's us) need to have evidence submitted no later than April 3, 2024 for the hearing. Myself and Paul McNeil have been working deligently on this before this morning's announcement, so we're in good shape going forward.
However, YOUR thoughts, opinions, and concerns are important and we need to hear from you ALL on this. I would like to suggest that we arrange a date where we can meet up, share a meal together, and openly discuss this matter between ourselves so everyone can air what they have to say.
Since the due date for evidence submission is less that a month away, we need to meet soon. I'm suggesting that we meet in the early evening hours so to give as many people the opportunity to get together. Would Tuesday, March 12th. @ 6:00 PM work for everyone? If not, mention an alternative date. We'll decide on a specific venue once we have an accurate number of those who can attend.
Having said that, if you can't make the pre-hearing meeting, it is ABSOLUTELY IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO ATTEND THE MEETING IN PERSON. Ladies & gentlemen, your livelihoods depend on this. It's one thing for the Board to see your signatures on a petition - it's quite another for you to be seen in oerson. Your attendance will add significant weight for the board to consider.
I have copies of the Board's announcement for those who wish to see them. I will gladly send them to you. Please, email me and I will send them to you: anchortours@outlook.com .
Please, let me know if you would like to attend the pre-hearing meeting and if you're willing to attend the hearing itself.
Sincerely,
Jeff Babineau
