As of 12.00pm on May 2nd, 2019, the Nova Scotia School Sports Federation has cancelled all rugby in the province of Nova Scotia under claims of lack of safety.

My team and many others just like it around the province are appalled and distraught over this action. We all pour time, effort, and money into rugby, and we play the game with passion and heart.

This game is the greatest teacher all of us have ever known. We learn to work together, trust each other, and we make friendships that last miles and years.

The student-athlete body pours sweat, tears, and yes, sometimes blood into the sports we play. And we believe it is in our own interest to decide if we should play or not. We sign our forms, we make our commitments, and we know what we're getting into. An incredible sport, with frankly fewer injuries that hockey or football, and we love every second of it.
