The NSE has proposed to extend the trading hours for equity derivatives (F&O) from 6pm  to 9 pm,

 This will have a negative impact on the work-life balance and health of thousands of traders, brokers, and other market participants. Studies have shown that long working hours can lead to stress, fatigue, sleep deprivation, and increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and depression.

9 out of 10 Traders are already in loss. Incresed timing will require additional Watching of screens, addtional thinking and many health problems. People working at exchanges will have to go to exchanges.

Moreover, the extension of F&O timing will not benefit the Indian market, as it will reduce liquidity, increase volatility, and create operational challenges.

Overnight Risk of US market willl still remain after 6 to 9 session.

We, the undersigned, urge the SEBI Chairman to reconsider this proposal and stop the extension of F&O timing.”
