Court update 05/05/2023

Rudi Gericke appeared in court with his advocate, Willem Edeling. Rudi's transport from Kroonstad Correctional Services to the court in Ficksburg was very delayed. Public Prosecutor has made arrangements to prevent the future delays.

Rudi's advocate told the court that Rudi isn't well and needs medical attention. He also requested that for the bail application not to proceed today and to continue with the bail application once Rudi has had a medical assessment. The court agreed that Rudi can be assessed by a medical practitioner of his choice, this assessment needs to be organised by Rudi's advocate. His surgeon is apparently on leave next week. 

Rudi's bail application has been adjourned to 29 May 2023.

This was the third bail application.
