Last week, we served a petition to the Senior Public Prosecutor in Ficksburg and emailed the National Prosecuting Agency (NPA) in Pretoria and Bloemfontein, opposing bail for Rudi Gericke. We received an overwhelming response, with 265 handwritten signatures and 9785 online signatures. Thank you to everyone who signed! 

We are also hand-delivering a certified copy of the petition to the NPA in Bloemfontein.

Although the court date is set for 24 February 2023, we are unsure if Rudi Gericke will be out of the hospital by then. However, we remain committed to the cause and are continuing our efforts to raise funds for legal fees through the Back a Buddy fundraising campaign https://www.backabuddy.co.za/champion/project/sorour-family-5502896291241051643 and continuing with the petition.

Regarding the Golf Club, Morgan, and other court cases, Klein Jan appeared in court with his attorney, Mr Venter. Unfortunately, Rudi Gericke is still in the hospital. The next court date is on March 1, 2023, where we hope to find out which court the trial will be in and when the trial will commence.
