Nova Scotia needs clean energy, not a 300MW fossil fuel burning peaker plant in Marshdale!
The Issue
YES! Nova Scotia Needs to get off coal.
YES! Nova Scotia needs clean reliable energy.
NO! Nova Scotia does not need a rushed 300MW fast acting fossil fuel (natural gas & 9 million liters of diesel fuel) burning peaker plant in Marshdale, rural Pictou County using the equivalent water usage of 750 rural homes from underground aquifers for the next 30 years and cost almost 1 BILLION dollars.
There are better ways. Help Nova Scotia build a brighter clean future without fossil fuels linked to world market prices, say no to the proposed fast acting Marshdale peaker plant by:
