Petition updateNotice of Loss of Confidence in CSG Leadership[OPINION] IF YOU ARE TRULY SORRY, STEP DOWN.

There is a cycle to failed leadership. First comes the denial. Then comes the silence. And finally, when the walls start closing in, comes the performance of victimhood.

We are seeing this now with the current CSG Governor. We see the social media posts about "healing." We see the black-and-white photos with captions about "protecting souls" in the "next lifetime". We see the claims that this movement is living "rent-free" in our heads.

But we need to be very clear: This is not about you. This is about the office you hold.

If you are truly sorry for the chaos of the last few weeks—for the 100 students who needed medical attention, for the questionable use of funds, and for the intimidation of JPIA and ECOSOC officers—then there is only one honorable path left.

Step down.

  1. "Protection" Means Taking the Bullet, Not Dodging It

The Governor claims she wants to "protect" her co-officers ("these souls"). But let us look at the reality. By refusing to resign, you are dragging your entire council into a Constitutional Impeachment Hearing. We have confirmed that the complaints have "pushed through" and a hearing is imminent. If you truly loved your team, you would spare them the humiliation of a public trial. You would not use them as human shields in a "us vs. them" narrative. You are not protecting them; you are the anchor dragging them down.

  2. Apologies Don't Fix Negligence

You can apologize for a typo. You can apologize for being late. You cannot simply "apologize" for a budget that allocated P43,000 to donations and P0.00 to safety protocols. That is not a mistake; that is a choice. And it is a choice that endangered students. No amount of "sadboi" posting or emotional captions changes the audit report.

  3. We Are Not Obsessed; We Are Just Vigilant

To call the demand for accountability "rent-free" behavior is the ultimate gaslight. Students are not "obsessed" with you. We are obsessed with the idea that our student fees should not be wasted. We are obsessed with the idea that student leaders shouldn't threaten organization officers in the Dean's office. Accountability lives rent-free in a democracy. If you cannot handle that, you should not be in office.

The impeachment hearing is coming. The evidence is filed. The JPIA and ECOSOC complaints have been validated.

You have a choice, Governor. You can wait for the Senate to remove you, forcing the college to watch a painful, drawn-out trial. Or, you can prove that you actually care about the "peace" of the CBA.

If you are really sorry: Sign the resignation. Not a caption.
