Notice of Loss of Confidence in CSG Leadership

Notice of Loss of Confidence in CSG Leadership
The Issue
The mandate of the College Student Government (CSG) is to serve as the primary representation of the student body, bridging the gap between students and the administration. It is an office established on the principles of service, accountability, and professional integrity. When we cast our votes, we did so with the expectation that our elected officials would uphold these standards, advocate for our collective welfare, and maintain a dignified presence within the university.
However, a review of the current term reveals that the administration under Ms. Chiara Isabelle S. Arizabal and the incumbent officers has significantly departed from these foundational duties.
Grounds for Removal:
- Unprofessional Conduct. Recent actions by the leadership indicate a disregard for professional standards. The administration has engaged in indirect hostility ("parinig") and public inflammatory statements on social media platforms. This behavior violates the Code of Conduct expected of student representatives.
- Dismissal of Student Concerns. Legitimate grievances regarding student welfare are frequently dismissed or trivialized as gossip ("tea") by incumbent officers. This refusal to address issues seriously has created a barrier between the students and their representatives.
- Lack of Transparency. The administration has prioritized personal agendas over mandatory duties. There is a documented lack of progress on campaign promises and insufficient communication regarding student funds and projects.
The Demand
Due to these failures, we declare a loss of confidence in the current leadership. We formally request:
- The immediate resignation of Ms. Chiara Isabelle S. Arizabal and the incumbent CSG officers.
- The scheduling of snap elections to restore functional governance.
The student body requires leadership that is accountable and professional. Sign below to support the motion for new leadership.
