Thanks for signing. Please continue to share with anyone interested in what's best for kids and schools.

The news will continue flowing out of both D65 and Northwestern during this never-ending time of change. Read about more needed resources and support. With each new topic, we wonder where the resources will come from to show a commitment to meaningful change. Check out this article.

Another idea: Northwestern’s full-chested investment in SEL training would help address the root causes of behavioral issues, reducing disciplinary disparities that disproportionately affect students of color.

SEL aligns with Northwestern’s commitment to social equity. Read more about Northwestern’s commitment to social responsibility and social justice.

Thanks for continuing to ask questions. Someone out there may have some answers, and the first step in any plan is to elevate all of the questions and concerns.

1. How does Northwestern prioritize its financial resources?

Given Northwestern’s $10+ billion endowment, how are decisions made about allocating funds for projects such as the $1.1 billion stadium and the Allen Center? What considerations are given to community needs, particularly local schools and students?

2. What role does Northwestern play in supporting its students during crises?

How did Northwestern use or not use its endowment to support its students during the COVID-19 pandemic? What other avenues of financial support were available to the student body during that time?

3. What is the primary purpose of the Allen Center, and who benefits from it?

Can Northwestern clarify the intended purpose of the Allen Center, particularly regarding its role as a high-security facility for dignitaries? To what extent do students or the Evanston community have access to or benefit from the Allen Center’s resources?
