East Howdon and the surrounding areas are being plagued by stinks coming from the sewage works. 
this rancid odour can be smelled in Percy Main and as far west as Rosehill. 
People have complained to Northumbrian Water time and time again and they always seem to think they are the first person to kick up a stink. 

This has made it into the Evening Chronicle and needs addressing as a matter of priority:

A spokesperson for NWL said,

”We’ve carried out a thorough investigation and have not been able to locate anything that would have caused this issue at our site."

I personally volunteer in the area and it is disgusting. I sympathise with residents as I lived in Point Pleasant and could smell it there.
