Staff and volunteers looking after animals at our local SPCA, have to cross the road often. Whether walking dogs or other needs. 

Its so busy to cross the road in Whangarei now as there are more vehicles, but also as they often are driving too fast along this Kioreora road. 

Its hard to manage a dog who gets walked by someone different on a daily basis, let alone picking timing to cross, before another truck or long line of cars come around the corner.

I am asking for a pedestrian crossing near the SPCA, to allow crossing, but also to allow drivers space and time to slow down before they get to the crossing.

If we could get this approved in this time we have to reflect and re-evaluate, it would make it so much safer for our staff and volunteers! 
And drivers too...
