People often ask "what can I do?"  You have all done one thing:  sign this petition.

One more thing we can all do is to show up and stand in solidarity.  A group of 10 is stronger than one person;  a group of 100 is stronger than a group of 10.  Please show up tonight at the City Council meeting and show your support for this resolution.  Our goal is to be 100 strong.

The Council meeting begins at 6:00pm but we are asking folks to show up 5:30pm so that we can enter as a group.  We will also have sheets available for those who want to sign up to speak.  We are asking for Minnesota Nice at this meeting -- the Council Members are our neighbors and friends.

To show solidarity you may -- but it is not necessary as showing up is most important:

• bring a small sign or poster to hold -- some will be available
• bring a doll wrapped in white -- over 12,000 children have been killed to date -- they are wrapped in white shrouds for burial.
• wear a keffiyeh 

Over 31,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed -- including over 12,000 children.  Another 17,000 children are orphaned or separated from their parents.  1.7 million people have been displaced.  Famine is imminent.

Tonight at 5:30 at the corner of 9th and Washington Street -- please come.
