What a COLOSSAL number we have just reached! With your tremendous support, the Save Weekley Hall Wood petition has gathered a massive 15,000 signatures. 15,000! We've been absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of support and interest the campaign has generated. I created this petition over a year ago, not believing for a second the huge amount of work, passion, dedication and reach that would emerge in its wake. It means a lot to me personally, and I know it means a lot to the people of Kettering, Geddington, Weekley, and everyone else who values the site - be they similarly local or from further afield - too.
There are too many litter-pickers, fundraisers, calendar designers, spokespeople, social media managers, committee members, local councillors, school groups and environmental campaigners to thank who have all been working so hard to defend the site from destruction and keep Save Weekley Hall Wood at the top of the agenda. Every name on this petition is another voice calling for better protection of nature, of our valuable wild spaces, and all the creatures who call Weekley Hall Wood and its meadow 'home'. Thank you so, so much for your support.
Please keep up to date with campaign goings-on here and here, and drop us an email at saveweekleyhallwood@gmail.com if you think you can help out!
We'd love to reach 20,000, so please share and help us to reach our next milestone! Thanks again.
