In Crowle, North Lincs, CPC Civils, contractors for Severn Trent Water are excavating a field next to homes in Windsor Crescent — yet SOCOTEC’s own ground survey report (finally released to the public by Severn Trent in May this year via EIR by members of the public), warns that the land is filled with “non-engineered made ground”, containing brick, wood, concrete, and other dumped debris.
That same report admits the material was “unlikely to have been placed in a controlled manner”, and is to be removed as part of the ongoing works.
Recently uncovered RAF records show multiple WWII aircraft crashes near Windsor Lane, Crowle — including a Lancaster bomber from RAF Sandtoft that crashed in April 1945, tragically killing all seven crew.
🚨 The reported site? Right where major groundworks are now taking place. 💣
The field was previously left fallow for years and denied development in 2007/8.
Was a UXO (unexploded ordnance) risk assessment ever carried out before recent deep excavations began? And who signed it off?
Given that the field was left fallow for years (with subsidy payments overlapping STW project plans), and that deep groundworks have already caused significant disruption and resident concern, transparency is essential.
We’re not suggesting there is buried ordnance — only that the field’s contents are poorly documented and now being heavily disturbed.
In a post-Grenfell and post-Post Office scandal world, silence is no longer an option.
💣 The Ministry of Defence warns:
“Unexploded ordnance can come in all shapes and sizes… Never touch anything you find. It can still pose a threat to life.” 🔗 BBC: MoD safety warning – May 2024
