I sent an email yesterday to both of my State Law Makers. For me that is Representative Hugh Blackwell and Senator Warren Daniel. I updated them on our efforts to get this law changed and let them know our petition has already had over 900 signatures in just over a week. I also asked them for an update and what we needed to do to get this on the agenda for the next session. I would like to thank all of you for your support so far, it truly means a lot and will make a difference. I would also urge any of you who can to contact your NC state lawmakers and ask them to get this on the agenda. Here is a link to help you determine who they are and how to contact yours.

 I have also talked to the local newspaper about our effort and they are planning a story about this. I will update again when they do. The media is also planning to attend the memorial/ balloon release on this Monday the 17th at Caitlyn’s gravesite. It will be at 1 pm. Any who wish to attend are welcome.
