NC Families for Medical Cannabis is here to bridge the divide between science and medicine through education, compassion, and--with your help--make a lasting change for those in need.  

NC Families for Medical Cannabis is a coalition of families, veterans, physicians, and other medical professionals who believe safe, regulated access to medical cannabis is critical for the wellbeing and quality of life of NC patients suffering from debilitating medical conditions. 

The NC Compassionate Care Act presents the first true opportunity to deliver on this mission.

And that is exactly what we aim to do.

Senate Bill 711 focuses on granting access to medical cannabis for those suffering and offers them hope. 

Under the NC Compassionate Care Act (SB 711) doctors can recommend medical cannabis for the following conditions:
~Cancer
~Post-traumatic stress disorder
~Epilepsy
~Multiple sclerosis (MS)
~Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
~Parkinson’s disease
~Crohn’s disease
~HIV/AIDS
~Sickle cell anemia
~Cachexia or wasting syndrome
~Severe or persistent nausea related to end-of-life or hospice care, or being bedridden or homebound because of a condition (not related to pregnancy).
~Any other serious medical condition or its treatment added by the Medical Cannabis Advisory Board.
