WE NEED A LAW!!!   Within the last week alone there have been several lost dogs reported.   Every week there are more and more followed by the constant social media posts finding lost pets.   Strays are everywhere including tons of puppies. The situation has always been bad but now more then ever it has really gotten out of control.   Most of the time they are found dead on the side of the road or they end up at the shelter waiting to be redeemed.  This starts a vicious cycle where there is not enough room at the shelters which then leads to euthanizing for space.   Registering your pet will make the owner accountable.  Spay and neuter will eventually help put an end to the endless amount of strays.   We are demanding FREE Microchipping.   Vet checks your pet if there is no microchip and if they don’t have one they get one automatically and you register online.   Mandatory free NC pet registration and free pet collar tag id.   This will help identify ownership which in turn prevents them from going to the shelter.  SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE AND WE NEED TO START NOW.  A law needs to be passed where these are mandatory for the state of North Carolina.  We have moved into the number 2 spot of euthanasia.   This is sad and can be prevented.    People have been very irresponsible and heartless.   Please help start this change by signing this petition where we can take it to the senate.  North Carolina should not be represented as the 2nd highest euthanasia rate in the US.  We can be better.  WE WILL BE BETTER.   But we need to start somewhere.   Please help by signing this petition.
