Urgent! Lobbyists for the factory farming industry are pushing lawmakers to reverse your victory and override the governor of North Carolina’s veto of the state’s dangerous ag gag bill. If successful, factory farmers could sue workers who expose animal abuse or other crimes at their facilities! It would also allow Day Care Centers and Nursing Homes to sue workers who come forward with evidence of child abuse or elder abuse. This must be stopped! Take Action: If you are a North Carolina resident, please call and email your state representative today: http://www.ncleg.net/representation/WhoRepresentsMe.aspx You can say "As your constituent, I urge you to respect the Governor’s veto of HB 405, the ag-gag bill, and not try to override it. This legislation is opposed by the vast majority of North Carolina voters because it would harm animals, children and the elderly." If you live outside of North Carolina, please politely email and call the lobbyists who are pushing for the ag-gag bill at the North Carolina Chamber. Ask them to stop trying to cover up animal abuse and other crimes:
