Although the North Carolina legislature has not yet repealed this statute that strips opossums of legal protections five days a year, we are continuing our legislative efforts. And we are exploring all options to ensure no live opossums are used in “Opossum Drop” events in North Carolina over the New Year holiday. Stay tuned!
