Amid pressure from the community, Dr Tim Markley has formally resigned from his post as Superintendent of the New Hanover County School System. The Board of Education accepted his resignation today, Feb 7th. While it’s fabulous that he’s gone, he still is victimizing families with the tax payers funded $226,000 severance package offered up by the BoE. I’m left utterly speechless that he was gifted money to be paid by the people that he helped victimize. This is wrong on every level and just shows the low moral standards that the BoE has.
