The junior cycle is not near as important as the leaving cert. There is no need for students that have missed so much school and that are in a terrible situation as it is to have to worry about mocks or the junior cert exam. Cancelling the junior cert should be a no brainer. Student well being (physical and mental) should be prioritised over an exam. Unfortunately nobody seems to be talking about the junior cert at the moment.

3rd year students need to be heard. The COVID-19 situation in Ireland is only getting worse, students are missing even more class time then they already have. Students are genuinely stressed and anxious. This needs to stop. Student wellbeing must not be damaged by an unimportant exam.
