There has been no new movement on Michael's case since January 2022, but the Georgia House has passed a bill to assist with compensation plans for the Wrongfully Convicted. We are excited about House Bill 1354. We are hoping that the Georgia Senate and Governor Kemp will expedite this bill into law.
God has a Master plan. Michael has grown so much in these last seven years that we have reconnected. He sees it. We wished that his mom and dad could see it. They already knew his potential. They NEVER gave up on him. Even in their passing, he was on their mind.
This Wrongful Conviction Compensation Act should help establish a foundation to a successful integration back into society.
Everyone who meets Michael knows that that the rape and kidnap charges are fabricated. He is very amicable and respectful. Multiple people can attest to his intellect.
He often wondered why Danny Craig targeted him for this WRONGFUL conviction. There's a number of reasons that has come to light. I will NOT discuss those now, but thieves don't break into homes that they know are empty.
Michael had gotten good at all that he did. He is a thinker. He didn't get caught. He got framed. Trespassing is a misdemeanor; not a life without parole felony.
We look forward to Georgia correcting and compensating for this monstrosity of errors that he has waited 15 years to be exonerated.
Time is coming.
