Morning supporters, 

Just an update - first, thank you all so much for taking the time to sign this petition and supporting such an effort to raise awareness and show the City Council that this is what YOU want. 

With that, the City Council will be hosting a special work session tentatively 2/10/2020 to discuss this specific topic. 

I am providing the City Hall staff with this petition, other information, a proposal, the letters of support I have acquired copies of various Alaska City Ordinances on single use plastic bans. Wrote a few grant/donation requests to purchase 5k reusable grocery totes to distribute to all of YOU. 
My idea was: If I can do a ton of the grunt work, get support from the citizens, present it all to the City Council - how can they say no?
