⚠️ IMPORTANT — SIGNING IS 100% FREE . Change.org may ask you to donate to promote the petition. We do NOT receive that money — it goes to Change.org. Simply skip that screen and choose "Share instead." Sharing is the most valuable thing you can do.

Thank you. 630 of you have signed and the campaign is growing fast.

Here's where things stand — and why the next few weeks matter more than ever.

The window is closing. Northern Beaches Council is moving the Manly SEP toward a NSW Government Gateway decision in May. Once it passes that stage, the framework becomes significantly harder to challenge. We need to act now.

What we've built together:

  • 630 signatures and counting
  • 35 households lodged a formal complaint to Liquor & Gaming NSW against the West Esplanade Venues (Las Palmas, The ESPY and Manly Pavilion) to stop the noise eviction
  • Over $5,000 raised in 24 hours toward legal and acoustic independent expert

Three things you can do right now — the first is completely free:

👉 Share this petition — IT IS FREE. forward to every Manly and Northern Beaches resident you know. Let’s reach 1,000 signatures. Signing is free. Sharing costs nothing.

💰 Donate to our GoFundMe — we are raising $45,000 to fund a specialist planning barrister and an independent acoustic engineer to challenge Council's noise modelling before May. The acoustic data Council is relying on is flawed — we need an expert to prove it.

📋 Join the formal complaint — if you live near West Esplanade or are affected by the excessive noise coming from the West Esplanade email us at manlyresidents@gmail.com to add your household to the Liquor & Gaming NSW complaint.

Why the acoustic engineer matters Council's proposed limits of 55–60dB inside homes are nearly double the WHO guideline of 30dB for healthy sleep. We believe their baseline modelling is built on inflated data. An independent acoustic engineer will expose that — but only if we fund it.

This is not just a Manly issue. What gets approved here sets the template for Seaforth, Freshwater, Dee Why, Collaroy, Avalon, Newport, Palm Beach— every foreshore suburb on the Northern Beaches.
