On Thursday 2nd March a letter went out to all Unity school parents asking for opinions on proposed changes, these changes being to extend the school day by 10 minutes and to add an extra week off during the Autumn half term.

Within the Unity schools in Haverhill, this was met with an extremely negative response.

A poll was taken whereby nearly 500 parents answered and an overwhelming 82% opposed these changes.

You can imagine our shock when a letter was circulated on 31st March stating that “a majority of parents responded in favour of the proposal”.

We believe this to be FALSE information. However, Unity schools are not just limited to Haverhill, they have 30 schools in many different towns.

I have set up this petition to collate opposition from ALL unity school patents.

This will serve as evidence when lodging a complaint directly to Unity schools and our local government.
