I wanted to clarify that I was incorrect in my statement of the current zoning being General office, the correct current zoning is business park. Forgive me as I’m learning the differences, it’s all new to me. It doesn’t change the overall point of the petition because the discussion we bring with the petition is not the business or jobs part of the proposal- it’s the industrial part which includes the elements stated in the petition related to the semi trucks, traffic, and safety concerns it brings. The goal is to be as transparent as possible but also recognizing I am learning and not an expert. I’m putting myself out here as a citizen with the entire whole hearted goal of doing what is best for my community. I encourage each person to be a voice- even if it’s in vote for this change. I believe we are so blessed to be able to have a voice and be part of the discussion at all. I have updated the petition to include the correct language.
