Why are there so many people standing at the primary school gates smoking at school drop off time?! It's bad enough that our babies and children have to breath in all the traffic fumes on the way to school every day, but are also subjected to multiple cigarettes' smoke at very close range, cigarettes held sometimes as close as 10cm from the children's faces. Why should babies and children be subjected to irreversible lung damage from passive smoking from an early age while they are still developing? It's unfair and very cruel.

Can the government at least make a law that no one smokes within a certain distance from a school between school run times, such as 8:15 - 9:15 am?

Please protect our children so that have a chance to grow up healthy.

Clean air should be a basic human right. And we need to stand up for those who are too small to have a voice yet, and are vulnerable.
