Washington Capital’s capitan, Alex Ovechkin declined request to remove war criminal vladimir putin from his Instagram profile photo and deactivate his account.
No place for putin supporters in Capitals! With this petition we demand 
Washington Capital to fire Alex Ovechkin. Otherwise, the team will continue promoting war criminal and supporting Russian war in Ukraine!
Currently, Ovechkin’s Instagram page features a profile photo of himself next to the Russian President, which has remained for the past several years. Moreover, in 2017, Ovechkin founded “PutinTeam,” a social movement to show support for the country’s head of state.
