Fall Forage, Foliage & Flowers @ Irvine Regional Park
Sat, November 8, 2025 2PM – 5PM
An introductory ethnobotany walk focusing on the edible, medicinal and material gifts of plants and mushrooms. This is a learning exploration with frequent stops to observe and identify various plant species, including fall bloomers, by using our senses. Observations will be discussed within the context of health, Indigenous life ways, sustainability and ethics. This experience is an opportunity to cultivate a more meaningful and memorable relationship with our natural community.
We’ll also discuss the opportunity to preserve the prehistoric Native American village site known as CA-ORA-556, which is part of the proposed Orange Hills Regional Park and is eligible for the California Register of Historic Resources!
