Thank you everyone who has signed and is passionate about saving the Great Australian Bight, our natural wonder and unique marine eco system.

This petition will be submitted to NOPSEMA at the closing date 20/3 - along with a statement of opposition to Equinor's environmental plan.

We need to stop them!

It would also make a huge difference if individuals can make a public comment to oppose the plan.

Whales need the Bight!

The Bight is an irreplaceable habitat for Whales. It is their breeding ground and they seek our waters for food and shelter while they raise their young. The annual migration of whales in the Bight waters happens during the cooler months, May to October, which is when they mate, give birth and nurse their calves. 

We need to protect these gentle giants of the sea.
