The Issue

As detailed by the victim;

*On my Story about Dr. Fadugba's Sexual Assault, Violation, Defilement on me without my consent.

- Background
Mr. Muyiwa Fadugba (now Dr. Muyiwa Oludayo)  unapologetically violated and sexually defiled me inside the CU Guest House Room where I lodged, and subsequently repeated this sexual violation without my consent, while on campus in the course of my final & extra year of study at Covenant University (2011-2012).

I have narrated in full details this ordeal in words and shared it widely on the Alumni community.

- What Triggered My Reaction
Since then 2012, I have tried really hard to pull myself together, trying to completely heal from that evil traumatic experience, with the help of God and my support systems, I focused on moving on with my life...

Not until few days ago, I stumbled on the Internet, a Dr. Muyiwa's video testifying on the Covenant University Chapel Altar on a recent widely broadcasted event, on how he has been able to uphold the core values and virtues he learnt from the Chancellor from his close relationship with him, ...

This video terribly triggered me in the most unpleasant way, bringing back those repressed traumatic memories i had struggled to bury of his sexual violation, life endangering actions which he did without any iota of regard for my choices as one battling with the reality of bereavement that remained unreal till this day

This is what triggered me to finally speak out, damning the possibility of any public backlash and reactions against me for coming out at this time to tell my truth and story.

As expected, his friends, loyalist, apologists and friends have since been flooding my private space with warning, subtle threats and whatnot.

- My Simple Demands
Without mincing words, I initially had requested that:

(i) Dr. Muyiwa Fadugba (Oludayo) issue a public sincere apology for the sexual crimes he committed against me.

(ii) The CU Alumni Association (CUALA) Leadership Board should issue a widely circulated public press statement, openly condemning Dr. Muyiwa's sexual atrocities, distance themselves from his sexual crimes and unequivocally ensure that both the Alumni platforms and our dear Covenant University (CU) platforms are not given to him for spotlighting himself before the faces of his victim(s) of his sexual atrocities. Afterall, it's has been widely reported in various news media that he was unceremonious fired from CU when he was serving as the University Registrar due to his sexual atrocities. So why turn around to give on a platter of gold the same platforms to spotlight himself, an abuser of myself and several possible other former CU students (now fellow Alumni)? Why? For God's sake!!!!

- The Backslash and Threats
As I as expected, Dr. Muyiwa's apologists and supporters have since been flooding my private space with messages, calls, issuing subtle threats, warning me and now attempting character assassination on me to discredit my story. I clearly expected this unfortunate reactions from them.

- Conclusion
It's been a drive-through-hell experience in the last 3 days, having to relive this sad experience in my head and having to courageously open up to tell my true story finally, after 12-13years, coupled with having to deal with the numerous backlash, reactions, character assassination  attempts and subtle threats from his apologists and loyalists against me.

However, at this point I am grateful for the massive love, encouragement and support from a wider range of genuine fellow CU alumni - many of whom I never knew  prior or ever met  have shown me solidarity, to strongly stand by me throughout this journey till the very end.

For all of these and more, I am deeply grateful.

Thank you!

Yours truly,
Bolu.
