This petition was created to get a 8th grade math teacher, Amanda Miller, fired, or at least something be done about her. While it is cruel, this petition was created within good reason.

1. She is incredibly disrespectful towards some of her students, going as far as to lay hands on them or call them insults and make them feel horrible about themselves.
2. It's almost like she targets certain students solely for certain parts of their identity. Two of the people affected negatively by her were neurodivergent, one with autism and ADHD, the other one solely with ADHD. One of them has a 504, and he had felt like it was still violated by her. Even when it was a 'misunderstanding', the impact of Ms. Miller making these students feel unsafe, unwelcomed, and mistreated stayed within them.
3. Puts students down if their ability with math does not meet her standards.
4. Overall, makes certain students feel unsafe and unwelcomed, and lowers their self-esteem greatly. One student (neurodivergent one with AuDHD) stopped doing their work in her class entirely, even turning in his test paper blank from how stressed her class and math in general made him incredibly overstimulated.

What will getting her fired do?

It will prevent any other future students meeting the same fate.
