The electoral college was originally created because the founding fathers thought the majority of people were too uneducated and uninformed to select the president of the united states. This is no longer the case. In this day and age of technology it is very easy to learn all the facts concerning a candidate for office.   The majority of people that don't vote do so because they feel their vote doesn't count. This is largely due to the electoral college. If the 2000 election that gave us George Bush vs Al Gore is any indication, i think we know more than the electoral college.Also the system of counting votes needs and overhaul. This is not only bordering on unconstitutional it is down right insulting to the american people. Lets get rid of this archaic body of politicians who obviously don't have our best interests at heart.
