It is my opinion that we would have a more open and honestly run government, with far fewer  "under-the-table' deals and favors being made. I do not believe the writers of our Constitution ever intended that we have elected officials in office for life..."career politicians." Establishing strict term limits, not more than 2 terms, or eight years in office, along with a reasonable salary and retirement, will do away with those politicians wanting to hold office only to increase their own wealth, and to enjoy all the many benefits which accompany it.
