Human rights treaties need to be implemented in the USA.

State Legislatures don't have to wait for treaties to be ratified and implemented. State Legislatures could pass enabling legislation to implement the treaties when the US Congress does not act. They simply need to use the language of the treaty.

SIGNATORIES WILL DECIDE WHO IS A DECISION-MAKER.

We will add “decision-makers” to this petition in the following way:

• For every 125 public signatories from an individual state House district, we will add that State House Representative. 
• For every 250 public signatories from an individual state Senate district, we will add that State Senator.
• For every 500 public signatories from one Congressional District, we will add that Representative.
• For every 1,000 public signatories from one state, we will add that state’s U.S. senators.
