Before I start I would like everyone to understand. I am not against child support at all. Only against it being used as a weapon. When a 50/50 physical and legal split has come down from the courts. Then both parents shouldn't have to pay each other support. 

When a parent is awarded shared custody there should not be child support just because one parent makes more than the other. It's not fair at all. I have 50% custody of my child and just because I make more than the mother I still have to pay her an enormous amount of money and we have shared legal and physical custody.

This hurts the payee due to the fact we now have to shell out more money due to the change in custody and then still have to pay the other parent. That takes food out of the household and limits the amount of money I can spend on the child. So now I am paying double.

In my opinion child support is used as weapon that people use to hurt the other parent.
