Pledge of “No Vote” and “No Donations” for Mr. Biden in Election 2024 if He Doesn’t Call for a Ceasefire

I hereby call for an immediate ceasefire in Israel and Palestine. If a ceasefire is not called by the United States administration or by President Joe Biden, I will have no choice but to pledge not to vote for and discontinue all donations to Mr. Biden. Even though members of my family and community have voted for Mr. Biden in 2020, the inability to call for a ceasefire will leave me no choice but to swear by my beliefs that I will not vote for him in 2024 and discontinue all donations to Mr. Biden’s election campaign.

In history, the opportunity to save the lives of millions does not come frequently. I choose to save the lives of millions. I decided that calling for a ceasefire is pivotal to my vote in 2024. 

Mr. Biden, do the right thing, stand for peace, and preserve life. Innocent Israelis and Palestinians have suffered devastating losses. They have suffered death, injury, isolation, displacement, hunger, fear, and trauma. 

Mr. Biden, no policy or social program is more important than saving lives from the brink of death.

Mr. Biden, call now for an immediate ceasefire.

Mr. Biden, if you do not call for an immediate ceasefire, I hereby swear an oath, by my beliefs, that I will not vote for you in the presidential election of 2024 or make any donations to your campaign. 

Message to the Muslim Community:

Dear American Muslim community,

Assalamu alaykum. Peace be upon you.

Respected brothers and sisters. Here is a pledge in which you vow not to vote for Mr. Biden for president in the 2024 election. We’re calling this the “No-Biden Vote” campaign. The strategy behind this pledge is to force the Biden administration to compel a ceasefire in Gaza. The situation has become untenable. The administration has supported massive bombardments on Gaza, and millions of people have been killed, injured, traumatized, displaced, and orphaned. We must use our political power to effect change. Muslim Americans are the last hope, as they have power, unlike Muslims anywhere on the planet, to influence the White House.

The strategy behind the “No-Biden Vote” pledge is simple. Muslims have unprecedented political power through their vote in presidential elections and must use it to demand a ceasefire. Because of the Muslim vote, Mr. Biden won Michigan, Minnesota, Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania in 2020. If the Biden administration does not call for a ceasefire, withdrawing support from Biden will be fateful to his presidential campaign. While the election is not soon, the Biden administration will be forced to calculate its virtually absolutist position to support Israelis in bombarding civilians.

How can Muslim Americans have significant power when they are a minority of 2% of the American population? The Muslim vote is decisive because the United States has been in an era of political polarization for the past two decades. Currently, polls have Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump neck-in-neck. The United States does not determine the democratic victor by popular vote but by the electoral college. Each state votes, contributing a pre-designated number of electoral college seats to the final democratic tally. States with significant Muslim populations – such as Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, Nevada, Florida, and Georgia — have electoral outcomes virtually at parity – close to equal percentages voting for the Democratic and the Republican candidates. Overall, this means that the withdrawal of the Muslim American vote for a specific candidate has cataclysmic implications for their likelihood of winning the election.

If an administration cannot at least end the mass deaths of human beings, what purpose is that politician and their party to Muslims? If those we support cannot even call for a ceasefire, then they are not people who support us. Muslim Americans must threaten to withdraw their support.

In Islam, when you save one life, it is like you saved humanity – and when you kill one life, it is like you killed all of humanity. It is towards the goals of preserving life and furthering the cause of peace that we implore you to pledge today.

According to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the ummah is like a body; when one part of the body hurts, all parts are in pain. It is time to act; please sign the “No-Biden Vote” pledge.
