PETITION FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF BOTS, DIRECT LINKS, TICKET SCALPING, AND OTHER METHODS THAT CIRCUMVENT FAIR TICKETING PROCESSES

To Live Nation Philippines, Ticketmaster, ticketing providers, event organizers, government regulators, consumer protection agencies, and all relevant authorities:

We, the undersigned fans, consumers, and members of the public, respectfully call for a thorough investigation into the growing use of bots, direct links, queue manipulation, ticket scalping, ticket-buying assistance services, and other methods that undermine the integrity, fairness, and transparency of concert ticket sales. These concerns have become particularly pronounced in connection with recent BTS ticket sales, where numerous reports have raised questions regarding practices that may circumvent the official ticketing process and disadvantage genuine fans seeking fair access to tickets.

This issue extends beyond any single artist, concert, or fandom. It affects fans across the entertainment industry who spend considerable time and effort participating in official ticket sales, only to find themselves disadvantaged by individuals and groups who use unfair methods to bypass established ticketing systems.

Numerous concerns have been raised regarding:

• The use of automated bots to secure tickets faster than ordinary consumers.
• The distribution and sale of direct links that allegedly bypass normal queuing procedures.
• Ticket-buying assistance services that exploit loopholes or gain unfair advantages within ticketing systems.
• Organized ticket scalping operations that acquire large quantities of tickets for resale at significantly inflated prices.
• The use of multiple accounts, scripts, software, and other technological tools designed to circumvent ticketing safeguards and gain preferential access to tickets.

These practices undermine consumer confidence, disadvantage genuine fans, and call into question the fairness and transparency of the ticketing process.

We respectfully urge Live Nation Philippines, Ticketmaster, ticketing providers, event organizers, and relevant authorities to:

• Conduct a comprehensive investigation into the use of bots, unauthorized direct links, queue manipulation, automated purchasing tools, and other methods that circumvent official ticketing processes.
• Review and strengthen existing anti-bot, anti-scalping, and queue security measures to better protect legitimate consumers.
• Investigate the sale, distribution, and use of direct links and other mechanisms that may provide unfair access to ticket inventories.
• Identify individuals, groups, or entities engaged in large-scale ticket scalping, system abuse, or violations of ticketing policies.
• Increase transparency regarding ticket allocation, queue management systems, anti-fraud measures, and enforcement actions taken against violators.
• Implement stronger safeguards to ensure that tickets are purchased fairly and reach genuine fans rather than those seeking to profit from system exploitation.
• In addition, we respectfully request that ticketing providers and event organizers identify tickets acquired through bots, unauthorized direct links, queue manipulation, automated purchasing tools, or any other methods that violate ticketing policies or circumvent fair purchasing procedures.

Where credible evidence demonstrates that tickets were obtained through prohibited means, we urge organizers and ticketing platforms to cancel such tickets and return them to the official inventory for resale through legitimate channels. This would help restore fairness and provide genuine fans with another opportunity to purchase tickets at face value.

We further request transparency regarding the outcome of these investigations, including the number of suspicious transactions reviewed, tickets identified, tickets cancelled, and measures implemented to prevent future abuse.

This petition seeks to protect all concertgoers and consumers by promoting equal access to tickets and preserving public trust in ticketing systems.

Fans who follow the rules should not be placed at a disadvantage against those who exploit loopholes, automated systems, or unfair purchasing methods. A fair ticketing system requires meaningful enforcement, accountability, and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every consumer has an equal opportunity to purchase tickets.

We respectfully call upon all relevant stakeholders to investigate these concerns, take appropriate enforcement actions, and implement meaningful reforms that will protect consumers and uphold the integrity of future ticket sales.
