Everyday we are hearing of more assault/sex crimes/human trafficking cases pop up all around the state and our country. These offenders are often REPEAT offenders and time and time again given a lesser sentence or bonded out at a ridiculous low bond rate. 

As a mother of a victim of human trafficking, I am not convinced giving these criminals probation, or short terms in jail is allowing up to make progress in our counties to send a real message that we wont tolerate this here. These victims are ABUSED, DRUGGED, BRAINWASHED, and SOLD over and over again. How can a short term sentence or a possibility of a bond sending the message to the VICTIM that our justice system is standing behind them to help them get JUSTICE and to hopefully heal to live a normal life. 

Victims are afraid to speak up and tell her story because of the threats they receive to be harmed themselves, and even their families. We need to be getting these people off the streets- NO BOND until they see a judge. At least give the victim that long to be able to feel safe and secure.

My hope is we can pass a NO BOND on these cases, and truly send a message to our judges that they can be a part of history, and BIG worldwide change if we make these types of crimes come with harder core punishments. These victims have their human rights completely taken from them when these criminals do all they do to them. I just ask that THAT is taken into consideration on this petition.
