Our power bills are rising. Our water table is dropping. Our home values are at risk. Our health, well being, and way of life are under attack by big tech.

Yet, our elected officials – municipal, county, state, and federal – continue to approve massive data centers without a plan.

We are pledging to withhold our votes from ANY CANDIDATE – Democrat or Republican – who does not support a 3-year freeze on new data center permits. This "time-out" is REQUIRED to study the impact on our grid and our wallets.

Personal story: I live in Covington Twp., where a 1000 acre data center campus is proposed. The campus would box in my family's home on two sides: 1/2 mile to the west and 1/2 mile to the south. Despite HUNDREDS of us showing up to voice our opposition to this proposal, the Covington Twp. Board of Supervisors ignored our pleas, rolled out the red carpet for developers, and passed a zoning amendment that would be catastrophic to this beautiful part of the Poconos. 

The proposed site is home to the headwaters of the Lehigh River, which includes miles of EV rated streams (only 2% of waterways in PA are worthy of this designation).

We have been ignored by our elected officials on every level – local, state, and federal – and a moratorium is likely the only chance we will have to delay these projects until we know more about the environmental, health, and economic impacts to this massive project.
