With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise, especially in southern New Mexico, changes have recently been made to many students Fall schedule from Hybrid to 100% online. Students should not have to pay full price for tuition when these changes are not something any of us were ready for. 

Many people also do not have the resources needed for these changes, which makes this transition even more difficult than it already is. By lowering the financial stress on the student body, much needed digital equipment will be more accessible to students who would otherwise be paying more just to stay enrolled.

We are all struggling in many different ways from financial issues to personal issues, and lowering the tuition would be extremely helpful to all students. It's risky enough to have us students going back with the possibility of putting many of us at risk of contracting the virus. Lowering tuition would help students complete the education we wish to have while not adding onto the already staggering stress and problems when it comes to these financial circumstances.
